Psychology Services for Adults
Dr Sarah Pearse has extensive experience working with people aged 18 years and over from a wide variety of backgrounds and with a diverse range of needs.
Sarah works collaboratively with adults to help them understand and better manage their problems. Sarah respects clients’ own goals for counselling, whilst providing professional knowledge and experience to help the client understand their issues and make the changes they need to.
Sarah has training and experience in cognitive-behavioural therapies such as CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT) and trauma-focussed CBT. Sarah also draws on the principles of person-centred, attachment focussed and psychodynamic theories of psychological problems. Sarah is trained in providing EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy) for the treatment of PTSD, anxiety and stress-related disorders.
Sarah works with adults with the following problems:

Childhood history of abuse or family violence.
Trans and gender diverse mental health
